Super MOXI Laser in Austin: Sciton’s New Face and Body Treatment
Austin is made for being outside. Its sun can leave a visible record on the skin: uneven tone, scattered pigment, and texture that feels less smooth than it once did. BEAUX MedSpa has added Super MOXI by Sciton, a fractional, non-ablative laser designed to address those concerns.
BEAUX is the first med spa in Austin to offer Super MOXI. Sciton ranks BEAUX No. 1 in Austin for Sciton treatments and No. 9 in the country.
What Is Super MOXI?
Super MOXI uses a fractional, non-ablative 1927-nanometer wavelength. The laser creates microscopic treatment zones in the skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. As the skin renews, the treatment is designed to improve the appearance of visible sun damage, uneven tone, rough texture, and early signs of aging.
The upgrade is in delivery. Super MOXI’s High Density (HD) system uses twin beams and a more powerful diode; Sciton says treatments can be up to twice as fast as traditional MOXI. That added speed makes larger treatment areas more practical, while expanded settings let providers adjust intensity to the person and the goal.
A Treatment for More Than the Face
Super MOXI Austin can treat the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, back, and legs. That range brings the treatment beyond the face to areas where sun exposure often shows, including the chest and hands.
Sciton says Super MOXI can be used across skin types. Settings still need to be chosen for the individual: skin history, treatment area, and goals all matter. A consultation with a qualified provider is the place to decide whether Super MOXI is appropriate and how intensive a treatment should be.
What Does a Super MOXI Appointment Feel Like?
The appointment starts with a skin assessment and a conversation about your goals. Depending on the treatment intensity, your provider may recommend topical numbing cream. Sciton says the laser portion of a typical face treatment can take less than five minutes; preparation and a larger treatment area add time.
Expect temporary redness. Your skin may develop tiny dots known as MENDs. They can darken and feel rough as the skin heals, then shed between days three and five. Keep care gentle, use physical sunscreen, avoid direct sun and active skincare ingredients as directed, and follow your provider’s aftercare plan.
Super MOXI vs. Traditional MOXI
Traditional MOXI and Super MOXI share the same fractional, non-ablative 1927-nanometer wavelength. Super MOXI adds twin-beam delivery, more power, and a wider range of settings. The practical difference is faster treatment and more flexibility for larger areas. Learn more about traditional MOXI and Fraxel treatments at BEAUX. Your provider can help choose between MOXI, Super MOXI, or another laser treatment based on your skin and goals.
Is Super MOXI Right for You?
Super MOXI may suit people looking to address visible sun damage, uneven tone, or rough texture with a low-downtime treatment. Sciton describes a typical course as two to four sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Your provider may recommend a different plan, and results vary by person.
