ClearV Laser

ClearV effectively and safely treats visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and skin discoloration. Undesirable visible micro vessels and resistant unwanted subsurface vessels will be heated by the laser energy and will fade over time and become less noticeable. Patients have virtually no downtime and may resume daily activities immediately following treatment.

Removes: spider veins, telangiectasias, port wine stains, leg veins, periorbital veins and more on the face and body.

We use this laser in conjunction with BBL and Broadband Light HERO to reduce the redness or erythema that many rosacea suffers contend with daily. The reason why the 1064 is considered the standard to remove facial vessels is because it has a strong absorption to something called oxyhemoglobin. This allows the laser to selectively heat veins to remove them (or make them less visible) while not harming the skin. Therefore, we can treat darker skin types without concerns of changing the pigment color of their skin.

HOW MANY LASER TREATMENTS WILL I NEED FOR VEINS?

We recommend starting with a single-treatment and see how you respond to treatment. Typically, vessels respond well to treatment, but it is not uncommon to need more than one treatment for larger or thicker vessels. Average number of sessions is between 1 and 3.

IS THE CLEAR V VEINS LASER PAINFUL?

This is not a painful laser. We do not even numb for this treatment. Also, there is an adjustable integrated cooling system in the handpiece that ranges from 5-25° C to help keep the skin cool and comfortable. The treatment is usually very quick!

RECOVERY FROM A LASER VEIN TREATMENT

Some redness in the treatment area along with some swelling and itching are common. This may last a few days. Occasionally, there may be some scabbing that should heal without problems. We will review the entire treatment and recovery process with you during your consultation.
