What Is the HALO Laser?
The HALO Laser is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It treats both the surface and deeper layers of your skin in a single session. HALO combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths, which helps resurface the skin while also supporting deeper collagen. As a result, our providers can target sun damage, scars, and early signs of aging with accuracy.
How HALO Creates Noticeable Results
This system also gives us the flexibility to personalize each treatment. Whether you want a soft glow or a deeper corrective session, HALO can be adjusted to match your goals. In addition, many patients appreciate that results appear quickly and continue improving for weeks.
- Brighter, smoother skin
- Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
- Smaller pores and better texture
- Improved pigmentation and tone
- Softer acne scars and roughness
- Support for long-lasting collagen
Why Austin Patients Choose HALO
With so many skin treatments available, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by choices. Because of this, patients often look for something effective yet gentle. HALO stands out because it treats surface issues and deeper layers at the same time. As a result, patients often see more noticeable and longer-lasting improvements compared to lighter treatments.
- More comfortable than many traditional fractional lasers
- Makeup-friendly again in about 72 hours
- Low downtime, often back to work in around five days
- No heavy or messy post-care routines
- Results that continue to improve for weeks
What HALO Laser Treats
The HALO Laser Austin is ideal for improving:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Sun damage and discoloration
- Uneven skin tone
- Brown spots and pigmentation
- Enlarged pores
- Acne scars and surgical scars
- Texture concerns
- Early signs of aging
- Pigmented lesions
- Actinic keratoses
In addition, HALO can also treat the neck, chest, hands, arms, and legs. Because of this flexibility, many patients refresh multiple areas in the same care plan.
How HALO Works
During your session, HALO delivers two types of laser energy. One works at the surface to remove damaged cells, while the other warms deeper layers to support collagen and elastin. As a result, your skin renews from both directions—surface exfoliation and deeper remodeling.
How Many HALO Treatments Will You Need?
Many patients see a real difference after one HALO treatment. However, for deeper concerns such as scars or more advanced sun damage, your provider may suggest a short series of sessions. To help with planning, we consider your goals, your skin’s condition, and your timeline.
- Your skincare history
- Your preferred treatment intensity
- Your timeline and upcoming events
What to Expect After HALO Laser
Your skin will feel warm and appear flushed, similar to a strong sunburn. Mild swelling and redness are expected during the first day or two. In addition, many patients notice a tight feeling before the bronzing phase begins.
The Bronzing Phase
Between days 2–5, tiny bronzed spots called MENDS (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) form on the treated areas. After that, these spots naturally flake away and reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath.
Long-Term Improvement
As collagen continues to rebuild, your skin will keep improving. Many patients notice better tone, texture, and firmness for several months after their HALO treatment. Because of these ongoing changes, results often look better week after week.
What to Avoid After HALO Laser
- No makeup for the first 24 hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure while healing
- No sweating, saunas, or hot tubs for 48 hours
- Use gentle, hydrating skincare only
- Apply daily broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect results
