WHAT IS IN A SKINCEUTICALS MICROPEEL

Micropeel solutions are partially derived from fruits and other plants. These formulas loosen the bonds that hold dead cells to the surface of your skin. Your skin will naturally slough off these dead skin cells, but sometimes with age or lifestyle, it’s just not as quick as we would like. This collection of Micropeels can speed up this process and give us brighter, softer and smoother skin.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A SKINCEUTICALS MICROPEEL APPOINTMENT?

First, one of our Medical Aestheticians will determine which Skinceuticals Micropeel is right for your skin.

At Beaux, our Micropeel treatments typically take about 45 minutes, and start with your skin being gently and thoroughly cleansed by your favorite esthetician. Then, the very top layer of dead skin cells will be removed by gentle dermaplaning to exfoliate the skin and shave off the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz.)

Afterward, a SkinCeuticals Micropeel solution will be applied. You may experience a very slight burning or itching sensation, which is easily remedied by the third step (also ice or other cooling agents, followed with a good moisturizer can help later).

Then, with red-light therapy, an immediate anti-inflammatory response is seen. Soon, dead/damaged skin is sluffed off, blackheads unblocked, and your skin’s surface appears incredibly smooth as your pores become smaller.

DOWNTIME WITH SKINCEUTICALS MICROPEEL

Immediately following your treatment, you can return to life as normal. You can apply makeup and go about your day. Those with very fair skin may notice their complexion is pinker or more red than normal throughout the rest of the day, and we recommend you apply sun protection before leaving.

HOW MANY MICROPEELS DO I NEED?

In general, 4-6 Micropeel sessions (with two-week intervals) are required to get the best results. Once these initial treatment sessions have been completed, you can easily maintain your soft and smooth skin with a follow-up session every two to three months.
